THERMAL INSULATION OF BUILDINGS
"JUODASIS GINTARAS Ltd." - EXPERTS OF INSULATION
Since the very beginning of our activity we started specializing
in the field of thermal foam insulation of buildings. In 1994
we were among the first companies in Lithuania to introduce Danish technology
of filling air cavities in the walls with aminoplast foam for
thermal insulation, which we have been successfully
working with so far. More

In autumn 2007 we were among the
first companies in Europe that became exclusive dealers for
Canadian company ICYNENE Inc. and started to implement this unique
technology of comprehensive thermal insulation with special
ICYNENE® soft foam in the Baltics and Poland. More

The building technical regulations that
are in force at present require heat resistance as follows: not
less than 6.24 m2K/W for the roof, not less than 5.25 m2K/W
for external walls, and not less than 4.54 m2K/W for
the floor. However, according to the
|
research results, influence of heat resistance of partitions on
energy efficiency is considerably smaller than that of creating a
barrier preventing large amounts of warm air from leaking through
the elements of the structure.
It is the successful
solution of this task what the thermal foam insulation
technologies we use help to achieve.
The technology
of thermal insulation with aminoplast foam is developed
specially for filling empty air cavities in external walls. This
thermal foam prevents warm air from rising up and stops the active
process of warmth leakage shown in picture 1.
It is obvious
that thermal insulation of walls from the outside leaving an empty
air cavity is absolutely irrational, since air convection,
carrying out about 80% of warmth from premises, is not stopped.
The
technology of thermal insulation with GAMO foam is
developed for comprehensive thermal insulation of buildings. This
thermal foam is sprayed onto the surface or into the air cavities.
Its very good airtightightness allows to prevent most of the
warmth from leaking out of the premises. This fact is
|
confirmed by the results of the research on dependence of energy
efficiency on the thickness of the layer of GAMO foam, presented
in table 1.
